The first was a Belgian pale ale with a starting gravity of 1.061. The second was a Belgian Strong Blond with a starting gravity of 1.070.<\/p>\n<p>Belgian pale ale: OG=1.061, FG=1.007, Apparent Attenuation=87.9%, 7.1% ABV.<\/p>\n<p>Belgian strong blond: OG=1.070, FG=1.008, Apparent Attenuation=87.9%, 8.2% ABV.<\/p>\n<p>Note the percent apparent attenuation was identical on both. <\/p>\n<p>I used BeerSmith app&#8217;s &#8220;Alcohol and Attenuation&#8221; tool to calculate these results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I recently brewed two different Belgian ales.
